Volunteer Opportunities

Do you love working with children and teens? Our Childcare Mentors work with children ages birth to eighteen-years-old building relationships and sharing the gospel. This team allows parents and caregivers to be given the opportunity to connect with other frontline families and receive valuable trainings.

Our childcare team serves one evening a month at The Gathering, and periodically at other trainings and events. We ask for a one year commitment from our childcare team. Background Checks and Trauma informed training required.

When a child enters foster or relative care, we step in and provide them a Care Pack with clothing, toys, toiletries, comfort items, and other items that they will need in their new home. Our Care Pack Team is on-call to pack these Care Packs and deliver them to families that are taking new placements. This ministry gives dignity to children that have lost so much, and relives the burden that foster parents often feel when taking a new placement.

Our Care Pack Team is one of the most flexible ministries to get involved in. It requires about one hour per month and works around your schedule. A Background Check and Online Training is Required.

Support Villages are our way of supporting families on a long term basis. As a Support Village, you will be paired to wrap around one foster or adoptive family. We request that you provide them with one meal per month, pray for them weekly, and check in with them a few times through the month. We encourage you to serve them in other ways as you see fit.

Your commitment as a Support Village is for 6 months at a time. Background Check and Training is Required.

What better way to come alongside an expectant foster youth than to celebrate her and her baby? At Be the Village we believe that every life should be celebrated, and so it is our honor to shower expectant foster youth with everything that they need to raise their child. Do you love hospitality? We would love to have you join our Baby Shower Team and help us show these mamas just how precious they are. Baby Showers are on as needed basis.

Do you have a passion for putting together details for events? Be the Village hosts several events throughout the year including our Amazing Fundracer, Dwell Retreat for Foster & Adoptive Moms, and Family Fun Day Events. Our event team helps with decor, reserving vendors, and more. Join our Events Team to help us make our events as special as we can for the families that we serve.

If you are connected to a church group, business, girl scout troop, school club, or other group that is interested in serving with Be the Village, we would love to have you join us for a Work Day or Supply Drive. To learn more, click here.
