Program Coordinator

  • The focus of the Program Coordinator is to assist with the day to day operation of BTV events and programs and increase community engagement.

  • The Volunteer Coordinator will report to the Executive Director.

    • Part Time

    • 20 hours per week

    • Three 6-hour days in office per week and help with events/ work from home hours as needed.

  • $15/hour

  • In person at our Somerset Resource Center & in the Community

  • o   Plans & executes events in collaboration with the Executive Director

    o   Assists with execution of projects such as Lemonade Stands, Thanksgiving Baskets, Kinship Christmas

    o   Engages with the community by networking with local churches, businesses, and service groups and setting up at one community event per month to promote Be the Village

    o   Coordinates Monthly Supply Drives

    o   Recruits new volunteers

    o   Coordinates behind the scenes details for the Gathering including the food and childcare

    o   Designs graphics for social media, upcoming events, and marketing materials

    o   Creates and sends out a quarterly newsletter

    o   Manages the Be the Village Social Media accounts and creates content for Social Media

    o   Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

  • o   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent life experience preferred

    o   Have a deep walk with Jesus and a commitment to the local church

    o   Have a teachable spirit that is willing to learn and grow

    o   Have strong relational skills, networking capabilities, and the ability to inspire others

    o   Have a personal history of volunteer experience through church involvement, community organizations, and other avenues

    o   Have leadership experience in managing numerous volunteers during events

    o   Has working knowledge of Canva and some experience in basic graphic design skills

    o   Has a background in managing a social media account and the desire to stay current on the social media algorithm and current trends

    o   Have a knowledge of the child welfare system, foster care, & adoption or an eagerness to learn

    o   Possess strong oral and written communication skills and public presentation skills

    o   Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain thorough records

    o   Possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously

    o   Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    o   Have the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
